MessagEase figures out the size and the density of your device and provide you with additional
smaller sizes for your larger, tablet-size devices.
Configuring Keyboard Shape
Use the setting to configure your keyboard to appear as a wide, side-by-side keyboard, or as a
square one, for either Portrait or Landscape.
In portrait mode and for a larger key size, if your wide keyboard does not fit it would show up as
squarish.
You can also change the keyboard shape by doing a drag-left-and-return
mon the Hand button. This works in landscape
as well in the smaller portrait sizes.
You can also change the configuration of the wide keyboard, to place the letters on either left or
right side (see Configuring Wide Keyboard below)..
Left-Right configuration: Square Keyboard
In
Settings, you can choose between
left-handed or
right-handed square keyboard configurations.
The right-handed keyboard configuration is the default, placing the control buttons
(hand, back-space, return, etc)to the right of the main grid. You can choose the
left-handed configuration to place these control buttons to the left
of the main grid
Left-Right configuration: Wide Keyboard
In
Settings, you can choose between
letters-on-left
and
letters-on-right.
This setting will affect the wide keyboard, be it in the landscape mode when configured
to be wide, as described above,or the portrait mode (when in its smallest size).

You can also toggle and switch the letter/number sides of the keyboard
by drawing a circle the Hand button.
Split Keyboard
When multi-touch is enabled (see Settings > Advanced Options) you can create a
wide and split keyboard, with parts of the keyboard abutting the left and right
edge of the screen. To create a split keyboard, first put
the keyboard in wide mode (drag-return-left/right on Hand) then
use two simultaneous touches starting on
Hand, one moving left the other moving right.
You can join the split keyboard by dragging on Hand toward the other part.

Keyboard fonts to get a list of available fonts
for your keyboard display. Simply tap on a font and see the keyboard change using that font.
Number Keyboard
On the keyboard, tap on 123/ABC button
to switch to the number keyboard. Tap again to switch back to letters.
Special Characters
Drag up on
Space for showing or
hiding the special characters; see

Blank or Transparent Keyboard
Drag-up-and-return
k on
Space
for switching to blank keyboard. or make your
keyboard semi transparent so that you can see what's under it.
You can also control the appearance of
the centering ball that helps you orient your touch when
using the blank keyboard.
